Lumina is a 16.2 hand solid mahogony bay branded PREMIUM mare. She is by the Trakehner jumper stallion Impression, by Ibsen, out of Mega Howey (main mare book RPSI TB). Pictured right 9 months pregnant, Lumina is simply a lovely mare, impossible to overlook, with a typey face, long neck, and substantial conformation.

Lumina showed talent and rideability under saddle before beginning her career as a broodmare. She is an in-hand champion in the USDF breeders series as well. She has a huge, round canter, a powerful floating trot and swinging walk.

Lumina has produced PREMIUM foals, time after time! Lumina's first foal, Rapunzel, by the Hanoverian stallion Rienzi, was a Gold Premium foal at our 1999 inspection. Her second foal, Dolce Vita, was a gorgeous, Gold Premium scoring filly who won USDF Breeders Series Region IV RESERVE CHAMPION filly, 2006!

Her 2003 gelding Lumiere by Le Mode scored Gold Premium at his keuring. He's 17 hands now at 5, and a delight to ride at 2nd level for his new owner Katie Miskovic of Chicago. Lumina's 2005 foal -- Dante Alligheri, by Der Graf -- was co-champion of his keuring with an impressive Gold Premium score of 8.3, and is now a promising 1.15 m jumper in Canada!

In 2006 Lumina produced another outstanding filly, this time by Le Mode -- L'Emmanuelle was champion of her keuring with an impressive 9.2 for type, and in 2012 Emma scored premium mare at her Mare Inspection, and produced a Gold Premium foal by Der Graf! Lumina's 2007 foal -- Da Vinci, by Der Graf -- was also co-champion of his keuring with an impressive Gold Premium score of 8.3, and is now an up and coming dressage horse in Wellington, FL! Lumina's 2008 filly Divine, though sadly lost in the fall of 2008, was champion of her keuring with an awesome 8.8 overall! Lumina blessed us with 3 more gorgeous fillies in 2009-2012 - Divinity, Desire, and Luminescence.

We are proud of this lovely mare who has been an outstanding producer for our farm and a holds a special place in our hearts as well. Not only has Lumina produced Gold Premium foal after foal, but she was a joy for me to ride and show. We plan to retain a Lumina daughter for the future of our breeding program.
