— Lyra —
2009 Gray Rheinland Pfalz-Saar filly

One of our most stunning fillies of the year -- Lyra is by our imported Zweibrucker stallion Le Mode, and out of the imported Hungarian WB mare Arany, and we think she's truly inherited the best of both parents.

The ultimate in elegance, this leggy, correct, and feminine filly is also a knockout mover. Up in front, powerful from behind, and leggy and airy in profile, she's hard to overlook.

Lyra descends from a tradition of kind, rideable, sport horses. Her dam, Arany, was imported from Hungary as a jumper, but she also excelled in the hunter and dressage ring before retiring as a broodmare. She can be handled by anyone -- truly an amateur's horse. Le Mode is so kind and well mannered at shows and at home, it's hard to believe he's a stallion. Lyra seems to have inherited the best of both parents' strengths -- this is a seriously talented, as well as beautiful, young filly. She's very well grown and leggy, powerfully built yet graceful and sweet. We think she's one of the best of the year.

Lyra looks to mature to 16.2+ hands. Lyra scored a high silver premium of 7.8 overall at our September 19th, 2009 keuring. Please email or call for more information.
