June 2007 Bay Rheinland Pfalz-Saar gelding by Der Graf
Don Quixote

Looking for a fantastic mover with a pedigree to match? This classic bay gelding was born in June, 2007, and is by our imported 17.1 hand Rheinland Pfalz-Saar stallion Der Graf (Donnerhall x Pik Koenig), and out of our brilliant-moving main mare book RPSI mare, Jewel, by Meisterwind.

With Olympic calibre athletes on both sides of his pedigree, there is no question that this gelding is bred to be a serious competition horse. He is tall, leggy, and correctly built with a beautifully refined head. His gaits are truly impressive -- swingy, elastic and balanced. Windmills, anyone?

Don Quixote is a big-moving three year old gelding with huge elastic gaits. He stands 16.3 hands, with good bone and substance, and an innate elegance and quality that is unmistakeable. Most important, his movement continues to impress, with a really special, uphill canter, and a lovely, free, elastic trot. His walk is top notch too -- this gelding has the basic qualities to be an exceptional dressage horse or a potential hunter/jumper star.

Call for a video and more information. Don Quixote scored a top Gold Premium of 8.2 overall at his 2007 keuring. He has been lightly started under saddle, summer 2010, and will be going into full-time training with our FEI dressage trainer Martijn Stuurman in spring of 2011.
